The Five Bells Rings in the Changes

The Five Bells, Stanbridge’s local 400 year old country pub and eating house re-opened after an extensive refurbishment.

A new warm and cosy interior featuring rich blush-coloured walls and reclaimed timber furniture enhances the original character of the building with its low beamed ceilings and snug areas.  The comfort of the adjacent dining area balances beautifully with the homely and intimate style of the lounge bar.

A delicious new menu has been created using only the freshest ingredients, including flavoursome char grilled meat and fish dishes supplemented by a range of traditional blackboard daily specials and light lunches.  The entire menu is cooked to order and with great care by the accomplished kitchen team. 

In the warmer months the extensive gardens at the Five Bells play host to open air barbecues, al fresco family meals and lazy afternoon drinking.  Full of character, The Five Bells Country Pub and Eating House provides a vibrant, informal atmosphere, delicious freshly cooked meals and friendly service.

Party Bookings

We welcome group bookings and can cater for anything from a quiet family event for 12 to a wedding party for 150.  Whether its a staff outing, a family christening, a client event or a weekend knees-up our excellent service and focus on you will guarantee a memorable occasion.
We have a licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies at the Five Bells which can be held here in the building or in a garden marquee.
